I’ve been dying to share these Bar Harbor, Maine engagement photos from last Fall! Michael was one of my brother’s roommates in college. When he and Megan asked if I would be willing to photograph their non-traditional wedding in Maine, I couldn’t say “yes!” fast enough! They were excited to say their vows in a low-key ceremony right after running their first marathon. Yes, you read that right! They ran a marathon and got married right afterwards!
We met up in Acadia National Park the day before they ran those crazy 26.2 miles to take these engagement photos. We started the morning bright and early, hoping to get sunrise photos from Cadillac Mountain. The fog had other ideas. It was actually so dense that our clothes and hair were wet by the time we got back to the car, but at least it made for quite a dreamy look! After our morning engagement session, Megan and Michael picked up their race numbers and then we headed off to lunch. Later that evening, we met up again for one last session before their race/wedding day.
David and I really fell in love with the Maine on this trip, and this engagement session was the beginning of it all. We were amazed by the gorgeous coastline, and the famous new England fall didn’t disappoint!
