Amy and Bill’s Tivoli, Denver wedding was such a joy to photograph! They started out their day getting ready with their bridal party at the Four Seasons, Denver, which always has gorgeous views of Denver and impeccable service. Then right before their wedding ceremony began, Amy chose to have a first look with her dad – one of my favorite things to photograph! I never press couples to have a first look since so many couples want to see each other just as they’re walking down the aisle, so a first look between the bride and her father is such a touching alternative. It’s a moment that never fails to disappoint!
Amy and Bill chose the Auraria 9th Street Historic District for their wedding ceremony location, and it was also the perfect place to incorporate Amy’s dream of having her wedding ceremony in the round. Theirs was the 2nd wedding I’ve photographed in the round, and I absolutely love the concept. Amy and Bill were literally surrounded by their family and friends as they said their vows!
After their ceremony in the round, Amy and Bill’s wedding reception was held at the Tivoli Student Union, and since they’re huge beer afficianados, it was so fun to learn that it was originally built as a brewery in the 1870’s! Their reception was filled with details related to beer, like the bottles used as flower vases, hops used as table runner garlands, and hops were even decorating the banisters.
Thank you, Amy and Bill, for choosing me to be your photographer – it was a huge honor!
