It was such an honor to photograph Michelle and Chad’s intimate Boston Harbor Wedding! Michelle has been a dear friend since college, and she was even one of my bridesmaids in my wedding. In fact, when David proposed to me in Manarola, Italy in 2002, Michelle was with us! We’ve visited each other as we’ve moved across the country, and chatted on the phone (although not as often as we should) to stay up to date in each others’ lives through the years. As soon as Michelle told me she was engaged, I wasn’t shy about letting her know I wanted to photograph her wedding!
Michelle and Chad’s Boston Harbor wedding day began with their first look at the Seaport Hotel. As a side note, I adore first looks, but I never push clients either way. If you’ve always dreamed of seeing your groom for the first time as you walk down the aisle, then there shouldn’t be any pressure to see him beforehand. The only thing to consider is that you may want to make sure that you have your ceremony in time that your photographer will have enough available natural light afterwards for romantics and family photos.
After Michelle and Chad’s first look, we all boarded an Elite Private Yacht and sailed into Boston Harbor for the wedding ceremony and reception. I loved their intimate ceremony and how they were able to include their closest family members in the details. One of Michelle’s closest friends, Katie, officiated the ceremony, Chad’s boys were adorable as they looked on and we included in the sand ceremony, and Michelle’s mom prayed over them before they were introduced as husband and wife. Their whole wedding day was absolutely perfect, and I was so lucky to witness it all and play my own small part!
